Reusable Learning Objects
I chose this video because it relates more my field at the moment. I am a first grade reading teacher and incorporating learning objects into my lessons are a great way to engage my students into what is being taught. Different students call for different needs and different learning methods. Gavin Clinch says that having reusable learning objects allows him to save time by using the same objects multiple times rather than have to create new objects for every course. However, since he uses learning objects to teach Auto CAD he must update his learning objects often.
The use of reusable learning objects in an online or F2F classroom allows the teacher more time to prepare for a lecture or a lesson. In addition, learning objects allow for a more interactive and more appealing lesson/lecture.

include (Wiley, 2002):
- digital images or photos
- live data
- feeds (tickers)
- live or prerecorded video or
audio snippets
- small bits of text
- animations
- smaller web-delivered
applications
Larger reusable digital resources include entire web pages that combine text, images and other media or applications (Wiley, 2002).
Reusable learning objects are a great addition to online or F2F classes because they are short in length and highly interactive. They give students a chance to learn at their own pace or to review material discussed in an online class or F2F (Dickens, 2005).
